BERKELEY M. SHERVIN

President and Chief Operating Officer

Berkeley M. Shervin is partner, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Wilkes Company. He has been actively engaged in site selection, acquisition, master-planning, financing, and development of commercial real estate development projects for the past thirty-five years. Mr. Shervin has also served as chief executive officer of a number of the company's affiliated enterprises. Mr. Shervin is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the U.S. Green Building Council and the D.C. Preservation League. He has served as a trustee on a number of boards, including the District of Columbia Building Industry Association, the Kogod School of Business Advisory Board, the National Presbyterian School and St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School. He is the Chairman of the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District, where the company is actively developing a large area of The Triangle.  Mr. Shervin has acted as an advisor and consultant on investment strategy, finance, accounting, tax and other real estate matters for individuals and numerous organizations, including The Methodist Home of the District of Columbia and Washington Real Estate Investment Trust.

Mr. Shervin is a graduate of St. Stephen’s School in Alexandria, Virginia, and The American University.
